How interesting that there is another Beveridge who posted! My Remy ancestor was Jacob Remy, 1710-1787. I am a member of Daughters of the American Revolution although I have yet to do the supplementals on my Remy ancestors. It's my plan to do that soon!I'd love to know if there are other DAR members here. |

Hi, I am doing some research on the Mayette (Maillet) family from Canada and he said that you had this information. My ancestor's name is Desire Mayette (b.1794 around Louiseville, Quebec) and later moved to Iroquois County, Illinois. He married Julia Durand and had a large family. I don't know the names of his ancestors. If you could help me with those, I'd appreciate it much. Also, I have some information on various other French-Canadian families who settled around Iroquois County if you're interested. Thanks. |

I recently stumbled on your web site and was amazingly suprised to discover that the surname of Remy-Maillet existed. I had never heard of it before. And in Australia of all places! Imagine that! My name is Mr. France Maillet from Canada. My family has lived here for many generations. The fisrt Maillet came to Canada in the 17th century from Paris, France I believe. |

My name is Debbie and I'm kind of new at this. I've just discovered this site and was hoping that maybe you could help me. My maternal grandparents, I know very little about and would love to find out more. My grandfather's name was Abraham and my grandmother's name was Emma or Erma Maillet. They lived in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, and I'm told they were from a place called Buckingham, Quebec. I can't seem to locate this place. I'm told the name has been changed. My dad was Arthur Maillet (1910-2000) son of Henri Oliver and Jeanne Marie Nadeau. He was born in Maine and raised in Lac Megantic, Quebec before back to USA for WWII and lived mostly in Niagara Falls NY area. Could he be connected to your Maillets?. Diana in Mass. |
